Established in 2004, The Recycling Village Ltd has developed a process for the recovery of discarded CRT televisions and monitors. In addition, a comprehensive recycling service is offered for all types of electrical and electronic waste throughout Ireland. Discarded electronic waste – pcs, monitors etc – is accepted and destroyed in a sound environmentally sound manner.
Following research and development, the company developed and installed a process to clean the glass recovered from CRTs, which is now exported for re-use.
Processes have been optimised by paying attention to detail, with a recovery rate of more than 80% of the material being achieved from the dismantling and recovery process.
Every type of battery from small household to large automotive are collected, sorted and consolidated prior to export for recycling.
The company operates under a waste permit 
granted by Louth County Council.”
